We are interested in developing and translating non-invasive tools for understanding mechanisms of network disturbances and to restore network function in neurologic and psychiatric disorders, including epilepsy and depression.
Our lab utilizes multimodal approaches spanning neuroimaging and electrophysiology to understand mechanisms and to work toward innovative treatment.
Our specific goals are to understand the network robustness and behavioral responses to thalamic focused ultrasound stimulation; develop thalamic focused ultrasound stimulation as a tool in epilepsy; and understand network dysfunction in disease using multimodal methods. We aim to approach clinical translation through a mechanistic lens and scientific rigor.
